Tucked away on Mancetter Road, this charming pub-restaurant offers a mix of traditional British comfort, a welcoming atmosphere, and a menu that covers everything from pub classics to standout Sunday roasts. Whether you’re popping in for a pint or planning a long lunch with friends, this spot is built for good times and great tastes.
The Anchor Inn Hartshill strikes that perfect balance between homely and lively. The rustic charm-accented by a crackling fireplace in colder months-makes it instantly inviting, and the friendly staff add to the warmth. It’s accessible too, with wheelchair-friendly entrances, restrooms, and seating, so everyone’s welcome here.
What’s more, it’s a popular choice for solo diners, lunch meetups, and dinner gatherings alike. Want to enjoy the fresh air? There’s outdoor seating available. Prefer to grab and go? Take advantage of curbside pickup, no-contact delivery, or takeout options. Flexibility seems to be a real strength here.
One thing The Anchor Inn Hartshill does exceptionally well is food. It’s hearty, flavorful, and rooted in British tradition-while still offering a few surprises. If you're in on a Sunday, the Sunday Carvery or Sunday Roast Beef is pretty much a local institution. Expect tender slices of meat, fluffy roast potatoes, and all the trimmings-comfort food heaven.
Other popular dishes include the Blade of Beef, served meltingly tender and rich, and the Steak and Stilton Pie-a proper pub classic with thick gravy, peas, and chunky chips. For something more laid-back, the Ham, Eggs and Chips and Chicken Burger are reliable go-to options.
There’s even a nod to international flavors with items like Duck Bin Bons, Charcuterie platters, or Roast Cod with Garlic King Prawns. Vegetarians and vegans aren't left out either, with tasty options like Eggplant-based dishes and vegan small plates. They even serve halal food, which is a plus for those with dietary preferences or restrictions.
Let’s talk drinks. This place knows how to pour. Whether you’re a fan of crisp lagers like Carlsberg, rich ales, or something stronger, the drinks menu is generous and well-curated. The Anchor Inn Hartshill has earned a solid reputation for its great beer selection, and for good reason. Craft beer lovers will appreciate the variety, while wine enthusiasts will enjoy their thoughtfully selected wine list.
There’s also a strong coffee game here. Paired with their dessert menu or a classic Afternoon Tea, it’s an excellent excuse to pop in for a quieter moment during the day. If tea is more your thing, don’t worry-they have a great tea selection too.
One of the things that sets The Anchor Inn Hartshill apart from many other pub restaurants in Nuneaton is its live music nights. These events bring a bit of buzz to the weekend and give the venue a fun, laid-back vibe that appeals to both locals and visitors. It’s not just a place to eat-it’s a place to enjoy yourself.
And if you’re planning a celebration or a group dinner, there’s also a private dining room available, which adds an extra layer of convenience and exclusivity. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or work get-togethers.
Ultimately, The Anchor Inn Hartshill offers more than just good food. It’s a community hub-a place to meet, relax, and enjoy the simple pleasures of a well-poured pint and a satisfying meal. It’s also incredibly convenient, with all the modern service options you’d expect: dine-in, takeout, delivery-you name it.
So, whether you're just passing through Hartshill or you're a local looking for a new go-to spot, this inn is well worth a visit. It’s clear that The Anchor Inn Hartshill isn’t just popular because of its location-it’s popular because it delivers on atmosphere, accessibility, and downright delicious food.

Went to there for a meal for my sons birthday. Everyone was very welcoming, the food was perfect - hot, tasty, fresh & well cooked, and the atmosphere was lovely. Most importantly they not only allow dogs but also made a big fuss of my sons dog. We will definitely be going again next time we go to visit my son!!Parking: Also has electric hook ups for motor homes
We visited here on Saturday night as we had an event to attend on Sunday morning. We were able to park our van in the carpark and stay overnight with electric hookup. We did not have to pay as we were eating in the restaurant much to our surprise :)The food was amazing! I had the belly pork which was to die for , melt in the mouth meat. My partner had the chicken tikka and was overly happy with his decision. The staff were ever so friendly! I would like to especially thank a lady called Vicky who made us feel so welcome !We cannot wait to return in the summer to see the garden renovations ! Parking: Car park was huge with camper bays, we were told this will be changing and they are adding more spaces. We cannot wait to return!
Huge thank you to all the staff at The Anchor Inn for going above and beyond to accommodate my little boys st Birthday this weekend. The food they provided us was excellent, and the marquee area they allowed us to use was perfect. Fantastic service from all the staff who were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We cannot thank you all enough for allowing us to enjoy our boys special day.
